Anyone that wants to start budgeting, saving money, reducing spend, etc. This is for YOU.
This has been long awaited and Loading Dock okayed us to use the space, and I’ll have Dinner for us!
Date is not set yet, please vote on which day/days work best for you!
I plan on having various ‘experts’ per different areas, if there’s anything you think you could help with, or would like help with, send me a DM.
We’ll have experts go over things like:
• Setting up / using a budgeting app
• Subscription tracking / audits
• Rent / Utility expectations
• How to save on phone bill / WiFi
• Upgrading phones / laptops / gaming systems
• How much you can save by cooking / meal prepping
• Reasonable car payment
• Why being afraid of debt will keep you poor or kill you
• How to build a credit score
• Good debt vs. bad debt
• Reasonable amount to spend on house
• Salary negotiation basics
• Emergency fund essentials
• ETC!
I understand people are making all different wages and salaries, so this will be very personalized with no shame, and you don’t have to share with everyone.
The goal of budgeting is not to limit yourself, but to set yourself up for success so that you can build up to the lifestyle you want.
To add… I am a strong believer in not limiting your happiness and ability to enjoy life because you’er pinching pennies. If you want a nice house, nice car or to eat out more, you should absolutely do so, but you should do so within your means.
If your wallet says you can’t ever eat out, the issue is not your budget, it’s your income.
I love helping friends plan for the life they want to live, if you want a nice car or a nice house, it’s not always about how much you can save, it’s about how much you need to make to build up to that lifestyle.
At certain income brackets it’s impossible to actually save money, Dave Ramsey blaming a few Starbucks drinks and chipotle visits is foolish. There’s only so many life expenses you can realistically cut down on.

I grew up poor, in 2020 I spent weeks doing everything I could possibly do to bring my whole life expenses down to under $1,800/month, the lifestyle made me miserable. Eating only hotdogs each day, and living in a small house with a lot of roommates sharing the same bathroom. It took so much energy and time to cut down.
A mentor told me to forget everything Dave Ramsey brainwashed me into believing.
Not to get too deep into the story, but I changed a few things in my life, and I doubled my income within the month.
By living in a crap place, not eating out, and having an old bad car, I saved maybe $1,000/month. But focusing on increasing my income provided me an extra $5k/month. So many people put their energy into the wrong areas. But this is no excuse to not budget, in fact the more you make, the more important it is to manage your finances.
